A carpet moth, probably Epirrhoe alternata (Lepidoptera: Geometridae). Whenever it settled it folded its wings up like this, which made it rather awkward to identify.

A pair of Bibio sp, probably Bibio lanigerus (Diptera: Bibionidae), mating. Female at the top with the small eyes, male at the bottom with the large eyes.
