A Predator in Reading Town Centre?

Yesterday morning under a small maple tree on the lawn at Abbey Gardens there was a neat circle of grey feathers about a metre in diameter.  A bird of prey must have sat in the tree while dismembering a pigeon.  There was no blood or bones, only feathers, so the bird must have taken the carcase with it when it flew off.

I saw your great pics in Flickr and then I came here... My English is terrible because Im brazilian so... Well, just to say to u that I found this thing an absurd... And maybe are a cruel predator...
