Ephydrid Flies

A pair of flies mating, probably Notiphila riparia (Diptera: Ephydridae).  I saw a lot of these (about 50) swarming on a bush on the north shore of the large lake.

Photos taken in Whiteknights Park, Reading, UK, on 2012-07-07.
