One afternoon back in early August I noticed this small mayfly with peculiar red eyes on our bedroom window-sill.  It is probably a species of family Baetidae (order Ephemeroptera), possibly Cleon dipterum but this is only a very tentative identification.  Only the males have these turret-like or turbinate eyes.
