Tachinid Fly

Prosena siberita (Diptera: Tachinidae), a Tachinid fly with a long proboscis.

Its larvae parasitize scarab beetles.

After taking the above photos I trapped the fly, took it back home and took the several more photos, including the following one, before releasing it again.

First two photos taken in the Wilderness, Whiteknights Park, Reading, UK on 2013-08-25.
