Tephritid Fly

A female Trypeta zoe (Diptera: Tephritidae) on a dock leaf (Rumex sp).  The larvae mine the leaves of various plants including Senecio (ragworts and groundsel) but, apparently, not Rumex.  See here for a more complete list of hosts.

Photos taken in Whiteknights Park, Reading University grounds, Reading, UK, on 2012-06-17.
