Another Scorpion Fly

This time a female scorpion fly, Panorpa sp (MecopteraPanorpidae).  Instead of the bulbous red 'sting' of the males, the females just have a tapered red tip to their abdomen.

Photos taken in Whiteknights Park, Reading University grounds, Reading, UK, on 2010-05-28.
