Caddis Fly

Caddis fly Mystacides longicornis (Trichoptera: Leptoceridae).

Leafhoppers

A leafhopper with blue wings: a male Oncopsis sp, probably an Oncopsis flaviollis (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae).  The strong markings on the face distinguish it from the similar Oncopsis subangulata.

Just a few metres from where is saw the one above, I came across this leafhopper nymph in the spring of the previous year.  It is probably also an Oncopsis sp.

Tachinid Fly

A black Tachinid fly, probably a Thelaira negripes (Diptera: Tachinidae).

A female Leucozona lucorum (Diptera: Syrphidae).

Dolichopodid Fly

A male Argyra sp, possibly Argyra argyria (Diptera: Dolichopodidae) but there are 10 other Argyra species on the UK checklist.
