Leafhoppers

A leafhopper with blue wings: a male Oncopsis sp, probably an Oncopsis flaviollis (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae).  The strong markings on the face distinguish it from the similar Oncopsis subangulata.

Just a few metres from where is saw the one above, I came across this leafhopper nymph in the spring of the previous year.  It is probably also an Oncopsis sp.

Photos taken in Whiteknights Park, Reading, UK, on 2013-06-15 (first two photos) and 2012-04-21 (third).
