Fungus

Crust fungus Phellinus ferreus (= Fuscoporia ferrea).

I took this specimen:

This yielded the following spores (magnification x600, field width 86um).

These are about 5x2um which is consistent with the 5–6.5 x 2–2.5um for Phellinus ferreus given at Rogers Mushrooms.
