Muscid Fly

A male Muscina levida (Diptera: Muscidae).  Lacking the reddish bases to the antennae that would mark it out as M. prolapsa or M. pascuorum. Identification confirmed by Nikita Vikhrev at Diptera.info.

Photos taken in Whiteknights Park, Reading, UK, on 2012-09-21.
