Squirrel Skull

The skull of a grey squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) with severely overgrown incisor teeth, probably the result of malocclusion arising from damage to the lower incisors. This condition would have made it very difficult for this animal to feed and was likely the cause of its death.

Photo taken in the Wilderness, Whiteknights Park, Reading University grounds, Reading, UK, on 2012-03-09.

Just found the same thing (Coos Bay, Oregon) and wondered if it led to his/her demise. Thanks for the conformation. Bill...............
