Beetle

A small black beetle with distinctive antennae: probably the cobweb beetle, Ctesias serra (Coleoptera: Dermestidae). The name 'cobweb' derives from the habit of the larvae of stealing dead insects from spider's webs (see here for details).
Photo taken in the field below Chazey Wood, near Caversham, UK, on 2012-06-09.
