Tachinid Fly

A tiny tachinid: probably Phasia obesa (Diptera: Tachinidae) on knapweed (Centaurea sp).  The larvae are parasites of various hemipteran bugs, including Leptopterna dolabrata which is common  in the long grass here.

Photos taken in Whiteknights Park, Reading University grounds, Reading, UK, on 2011-05-30.
