Damselfly

From last spring: a large red damselfly, Pyrrhosoma nymphula (Odonata: Coenagrionidae).  Distinguished from the small red damselfly, Ceriagrion tenellum, by its black legs.

Photo taken in Whiteknights Park, Reading University grounds, Reading, UK, on 2010-05-17.
