Parent Bug
Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 7:51PM From back in mid-summer, a parent bug, Elasmucha grisea, (family Acanthosomatidae, order Hemiptera). So called because the adults stay with their young for several weeks after they have hatched. There are some good pictures showing this here at BritishBugs.
Photo taken in Reading University grounds, Reading, UK, on 2009-07-24.
