Dock bug Coreus marginatus (Hemiptera: Coreidae). The two small 'horns' between the antennae are one of the characteristic features of this species.

A female Linnaemya picta (Diptera: Tachinidae). Identification suggested by Steve 'sd' at Diptera.info (see here). This identification was confirmed by Chris Raper from examination of a male specimen that I caught near the same place a few days later (see here).
