A dark bluish-black Tachinid fly. At first I assumed it was a Pales pavida, but then I noticed that the tip of its scutellum wasn't reddish. Over at Diptera.info, Chris Raper and Theo Zeegers identified it as an Eurithia sp, probably Eurithia connivens (Diptera: Tachinidae).

A small blue and red leaf beetle, probably an Oulema sp (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae). According to Lech Borowiec's Chrysomelidae site, there are three northwest European species that look like this: Oulema duftschmidi, Oulema melanopus, and Oulema rufocyanea.
