Blowfly

A male Stomorhina lunata (Diptera: Calliphoridae).  Only the second one I have ever seen; the first was here.

Dragonfly

A male emperor dragonfly, Anax imperator (Odonata: Aeshnidae).  This specimen was much more docile than usual and I was able to get very close to it.

Green Moth

An emerald moth, Hemithea aestivaria (Lepidoptera: Geometridae) that my daughter found in her bedroom. 

Almost exactly a year ago I found one in our living room.

A male Oplodontha viridula (Diptera: Stratiomyidae).

Moth

A Pseudargyrotoza conwagana (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae), one of several dozen that I saw swarming on the leaves of ash and horse chestnut trees alongside the path on my walk on Saturday.
