Dragonfly
A male emperor dragonfly, Anax imperator (Odonata: Aeshnidae). This specimen was much more docile than usual and I was able to get very close to it.

A Pseudargyrotoza conwagana (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae), one of several dozen that I saw swarming on the leaves of ash and horse chestnut trees alongside the path on my walk on Saturday.

A Conops vesicularis (Diptera: Conopidae). The larvae are parasites of bees while the adults, judging from their yellow-brown colour, are hornet mimics.
