A smalll brown tortrix moth, probably the red-barred tortrix moth, Ditula angustiorana (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae). It was on a comfrey plant (Symphytum sp).

A female Limnophora tigrina (Diptera: Muscidae).
I had originally thought this might be a female Anthomyia plurinotata (Diptera: Anthomyiidae), like the one I saw back in May, but the black markings on the back are subtly different.

A pair of Terellia tussilaginis (Diptera: Tephritidae) mating on a burdock flower-head (Arctium sp)
And this is three males if the same species competing for a female.
