A male Ormyrus sp, possibly Ormyrus nitidulus = Ormyrus tubulosus (Hymenoptera: Ormyridae) based on comparison with images half-way down this page.

Pallopterid Fly

From May last year: a Palloptera quinquemaculata (Diptera: Pallopteridae).  I originally had this down as a Lauxaniid fly (Minettia inusta) but the body colour is too yellow and the wing pattern is slightly different.
