Plant Galls

A leaf of a field maple, Acer campestre, covered in galls, probably those caused by the mite Aceria myriadeum (Arachnida: Acari).

Blue Iris

Iris germanica growing on fairly well-drained grassland.  The yellow iris, Iris pseudacorus grows around the edges of the lakes and on distinctly wet ground.
